Election Day is Tuesday November 2 and News 10NBC wants to help. We have created Election Day information for your neighborhood.

Election Day—Polls open at 6:00a.m. and close at 9:00. News 10NBC will have your results on News 10NBC at 11 and http://www.whec.com/. We will have reporters live from Monroe County Democratic and Republican headquarters as well as coverage of the gubernatorial race live from New York City and Buffalo.

Voting Machines—for the first time in a general election, voters in New York will not being casting their ballot by pulling a lever. Instead, voters will use paper ballots that they will put into an electronic machine when finished. For more on this new method of voting, click here.

Ride to the Polls-Medicab, Medical Motor Service and Monroe Ambulance and Medical Transportation have each agreed to donate 20 rides to help people with accessibility issues get to the polls. People needing rides should call the company of their choice by Monday, Nov. 1, no later than 4:30 p.m. to schedule a ride. Medicab Transportation: 342-7150, Medical Motor Service: 654-7030, Monroe Ambulance and Medical Transportation: 232-9000. Riders should give location of polling place when setting up the ride.
