Penfield schools participate in Farm to You Fest | Environment

The Penfield Central School District will be participating in the New York State Department of Agriculture's "Farm to You Fest" during the week of Sept. 27th through Oct. 1st. Fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables are being served in each of our schools' cafeterias throughout the week. In addition, a number of classroom activities have been planned to promote healthy lifestyles during the festival.
Cobbles Elementary School Teacher LouAnne DaRin will be presenting to students when "Apple Crunch meets Computer Munch", from 10:30a.m. to 11:15a.m. each day this week. Indian Landing Elementary School will be doing "I Tried It" Tuesday and Thursday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at the cafeteria. Schriber Road Elementary teacher Carolyn Smith-Hanna will be presenting to students "Vegetable Stretches" in the gym throughout the week.
