Webster Village Board Meeting Minutes | News
The Village of Webster Board held its regular meeting Thursday night.
At the meeting, Mayor Elder unveiled new mayor photos for Jack Judge and Jake Swingly and talked about the highlights of each mayor’s term in office.
Mayor Elder also announced that Charley Duffy will retire after 30 years with Village in the Water Department.
The board approved legal notices for North Ave rezone: (1) approval of legal notice to allow additional uses in NB (Neighborhood Business) District; (2) approval of legal notice to change zoning on 22 properties facing North Ave from IN (Industrial) to NB (Neighborhood Business).
The board approved a letter to hand-deliver to affected properties along North Ave directly affected by zoning change. They also approved the appointment of Trustee Reynolds as liaison to Webster Friends of Trails and announced that will be marching for the first time in the Fireman’s Parade.
During the meeting, the Board also set the Village attorney’s salary at $17,000 per year payable in quarterly installments retroactive to the attorney’s appointment at the Board’s Organizational Meeting.
The Board authorized the Mayor to sign letter of support for Phillips Village roof, kitchen, boiler and bathroom rehabilitation.
Mayor Elder presented amended Village ethics law that he wrote and researched. The Board approved a public hearing for August 26, 2010 at 7:45pm for proposed ethics law.
And the board reminded residents that West Main Street would be closed this weekend for the Jazz Festival and Taste of the Village.
