Police: Man arrested for armed robbery in Macedon | Crime
A Farmington man has been arrested after in armed robbery in the town of Macedon. Police say he also was involved in two other robberies in Monroe County.
Scott R. Sullivan, 41, of Farmington, is charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Macedon Police say he entered a Subway store in Macedon Commons Plaza on Friday afternoon posing as a customer. They say he then pulled out a 14 inch hunting knife and held it to the store clerk's throat and demanded cash from the register. Police say Sullivan then left the store and drove off in a vehicle.
The store clerk was able to obtain a license plate. Police say the car Sullivan drove off in was reported stolen a week earlier from Webster and it was used in two other armed robberies, one in Webster and one in Monroe County.
A short time later, Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies spotted the vehicle. Police say Sullivan attempted to get away, but he was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered the stolen cash and the weapon used in the robbery in Macedon. Sullivan confessed to investigators that he was involved in the three robberies.
Sullivan was later processed in Macedon and was remanded to the Wayne County Jail on no bail due to his extensive Felony conviction history. Police report that Sullivan is facing additional charges relating to the other robbery investigations.
