Penfield High School Girls' Basketball moves on to state semifinals
The Penfield High School Girls Basketball team is continuing their undefeated season this weekend as they move on to the state semifinals.
The Lady Patriots will take on Riverhead from Section XI at 6:15pm on Friday at Hudson Valley Community College.
Last weekend, Penfield defeated Section VI champion Lockport, 54 to 37 to move on to the semifinals. Before that, they defeated Greece Athena 49-34 in the state qualifier round.
Penfield beat rival Gates Chili to capture the Section V Class AAA championship title.
