Electric Car Show at Penfield Cleanup Day April 28 | News
The Town of Penfield is hosting an electric car show as part of its “Penfield Cleanup Day” activities this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Penfield Community Center.
The car show was added to the day’s events because of interest in the town’s new free electric car charging station – the first publicly available charging station in Monroe County – at the community center.
Cars from private owners, dealers, and members of the New York State Electric Auto Association will be on display.
The show is expected to include the 2011 and 2012 Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf, Toyota Echo Electric Conversion, Vectrix Electric Motorcycle, Ford Transit Connect Electric Commercial Van, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Zenn NEV and possibly a 2012 Ford Focus Electric if it arrives in Rochester in time.
A number of charging stations will also be on display.
