In September, Cuneyt Vardar participated in Henderson Ford’s local Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge and won for his age group. Winners were invited to a regional competition in Ohio where top performers from each local competition competed for the regional title.

Vardar took fifth place at the Ford Escape Regional Soccer Skills Challenge. He earned a total score of 354 in the competition through a series of six different soccer drills (Toe Taps, Foundations, Juggling (right and left foot), Dribbling (right and left foot).

Cuneyt started playing soccer when he was 7 years old. He’s now 12 and recently completed an undefeated season with the Freshman Webster Thomas High School team. He also plays for ODP and the U14 Super 9 Premier club. “I promise to be in the top 2 for next year’s regional challenge,” said Vardar.

“Cuneyt did an outstanding job during the local soccer skills competition and I was thrilled to hear that he placed in the top 5 in his age group at the Ford Escape Regional Soccer Skills Challenge,” said Aki Henderson, Business Development Director at Henderson Ford. “On behalf of everyone at Henderson Ford, we’d like to send many congratulations to Cuneyt on this great achievement!”
