A Barkers Dozen to hold Wine and Wags event for dogs and their owners

A Barkers Dozen to hold Wine and Wags event for dogs and their owners

A Barkers Dozen, a gourmet dog bakery located on North Avenue in Webster, is hosting Wine & Wags, a wine tasting event for both dogs and dog owners on August 19 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

A portion of proceeds raised from this event will be donated to Pitty Love, a Pit Bull rescue whose mission is to “restore this wonderful breed to its former position of respect and honor.”

The event will feature raffles and 50/50 throughout the evening, pawdicures by The Grey Cottage Pet Spa, and studio portrait sessions by Luminaria Photography. Along with the wine tasting, there will be dog safe, non-alcoholic wine for your four-legged friends, as well as desserts for everyone, including a carob fountain with assorted treats.

Admission is $20 and tickets can be bought either online at www.wineandwags.eventbrite.com or at the door.

Meet Buddy!

Meet Buddy! Buddy is this week's News 10NBC and Lollypop Farm "Friday's Friend." Buddy is a 4-year-old Poodle/West Highland White Terrier mix. He lived with one family for his whole life, and they recently brought him to Lollypop Farm because they felt that they didn't have enough time for him. Buddy is a very friendly dog. He'll start wagging his tail as soon as he sees someone. Buddy needs to go to a home without children, and he needs to meet any dogs in the household before adoption just to make sure everyone will get along. Buddy would make a wonderful companion!

To find out more about Buddy, call 223-1330 or visit him at Lollypop Farm at 99 Victor Rd., Fairport 14450.

Puppy and Boogers, our "Friday's Friends" from last week, have been adopted.

Meet Puppy and Boogers!

Meet Puppy and Boogers! Puppy is a 7-year-old male toy poodle mix and Boogers is a 7-year-old male Chinese Crested/Terrier mix. They were brought in together because their owner passed away and family members couldn’t take them. These two buddies must be adopted together because they’re so close. They both love attention! Both dogs are available through the Seniors-for-Seniors program. Eligible adopters age 60 and older can bring the pair home at no charge! For other adopters, Puppy and Boogers are available together for the price of just one adoption. To find out more about them, call 223-1330 or visit them at Lollypop Farm at 99 Victor Rd., Fairport 14450. Lilly, our "Friday's Friend" from last week, has been adopted.

Meet Lilly!

Meet Lilly! Lilly is this week's News 10NBC and Lollypop Farm "Friday's Friend." Lilly is a 5-year-old female Greyhound who weighs about 50 pounds and has a beautiful brindle coat. She has been at Lollypop Farm more than once through no fault of her own. Lilly walks very well on a leash. She does love to run, so her new home will need a securely fenced yard. She is a sweet and friendly dog who likes being petted. Lilly needs to meet any dogs or kids in the household before adoption, and she needs to go a home without any cats. Lilly is a wonderful dog! To find out more about Lilly, call 223-1330 or visit her at Lollypop Farm at 99 Victor Rd., Fairport 14450. Uru, our "Friday's Friend" from last week, has been adopted.
